Good quality collets are paramount for prolonging tool life and delivering the best work through your CNC machine. Your collets should be checked and cleaned regularly for the highest performance from your cutting tool. Replace immediately upon suspected wear.

3DTEK collets suit users seeking value and precision, we have two lines to suit- Industrial and Precision. We recommend and offer collets specific to size. It’s easy to choose the wrong collet for your endmill, so selecting the correct collet is important. A 6-5 labelled collet is only suitable for a 6mm endmill. Over compression (crunch) will lead to unnecessary wear on smaller tool sizes, shortening the tool life.

We advise that you can never have too many collets or endmills and to keep spares in case of any emergencies. Always insert the collet into the nut before adding tooling.
